This is a free day in Saigon. We will pick you up from the Tan Son Nhat airport which is some kms away from the central business districts. Today, we will discover Saigon (or Ho Chi Minh city), the Vietnam's bustling largest city. Visit the Notre Dame Cathedral and Central Post Office to see the French Colonial architecture. Then, learn more about the American War in Vietnam with a visit to the Reunification Palace and War Remnants Museum. In the afternoon, we visit Ben Thanh Market, the iconic small household trading centre in the city. Been to the mighty Mekong delta before? Today we will explore this naturally rich delta. We will transfer in a private car to the town of Cai Be town (80 kms away) in the Mekong Delta to take a private river boat trip. This journey cruises through floating markets, rice fields, fruit plantations and so on along a densely connected network of rivers and canals. An absolutely amazing view of a totally flat, low-lying delta that seems to have no boundary will bring you an immense feeling of this region. The highlight of the Mekong visit would be to visit a local pottery workshop and try to learn some basic skills in pottery production. Get back to HCM city in the late afternoon. Have you seen the tunnels with your own eyes? After breakfast, we will depart for Cu Chi Tunnels which were famous during the war in 1960s and 1970s. The tunnels have an underground network of over 250 km length and only 65 km away from the center of Ho Chi Minh city in the Northwest. You will climb down small entry and experience how life might be in small tunnels. Take a stop at the family-run enterprise making rice paper and you also have a chance to make rice paper by yourself. In the afternoon, we will travel to Tay Ninh City nearby to discover at the colourful head temple of Cao Dai, the centre of a unique religion in Vietnam. Overnight at Saigon Eden hotel.

Lets say goodbye to Saigon today. In the morning, we will take a short flight to Nha Trang city, the beach paradise in the south central Vietnam. Check in the hotel by the beach and head out to a local restaurant for lunch. In the afternoon, we will visit key highlights of the city including the Po Nagar Cham Towers, Nha Trang Oceanography Institute and Alexandre Yersin Museum. Get back to the beach and watch the world go by. Overnight in Nha Trang Lodge Hotel.

Often referred to as one of the best bays on earth, Nha Trang is stunning, beautiful, clean, with clear sky and water. Get up and enjoy a cruise boat to Tam Island, a small island strictly protected by the Government (with support of Danida Denmark). Enjoy an amateur scuba diving or snorkeling and discover marine lives living under the crystal clear blue water. The wooden boat then will take us to a small island in the middle of the bay. Take a sun bed, start enjoy fresh seafood with a cup of wine or beer on a small island. In the afternoon, we will visit a local fishing village and explore traditional lifestyles of fishermen. Get back to the city and overnight in Nha Trang Lodge Hotel.

The ancient town of Hoi An is calling, and we are heading toward this magnificent place today. In the morning, we will transfer you to Nha Trang airport for a short flight to Da Nang. Up on arrival, we will transfer to our hotel in Hoi An town, 30 kms far away from Danang airport. You are free to enjoy its unique architecture, lifestyle, night markets, ancient houses which have been preserved for years. Or just have a great swim in the Cua Dai beach with your kids. We will have a half day bicycle tour to visit rural villages which once provided services and goods to merchants in Hoi An ancient town. Get relaxed along the ever green, small lanes full of vegetables, flowers, water buffaloes. Lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon we will get back to town and visit Japanese covered bridge, Tan Ky Old hose, Phuc Kien Pagoda, Cham Museum and Chinese Assembly Hall. Late in the afternoon, get laid back in Cua Dai beach. The beach is clean, shallow and often calm. Enjoy seafood and local delicacies by the beach or in the restaurant. Hue is famous for the complex of monuments, and lets go and explore them all! Have breakfast before departing Hoi An for Hue city. On the way our vehicle will stop at Hai Van pass to enjoy the spectacular view along the rural and unspoiled coast. Our car continues the journey through rural settings before reaching Hue City. Upon arrival, check in the hotel and have lunch at a local restaurant. Taste the best royal cuisine of Hue that is 100% distinctive from Hanoi or Saigon. After having breakfast, we will explore the complex of monuments, UNESCO heritages. Our tour starts in the Imperial Citadel and the Forbidden Purple City. Built in the 19th century by the Nguyen dynasty, the City was home to the former Emperors of Vietnam from 1802 until 1945. Visit The Mieu temple and Ngo Mon gate. Then sit on a dragon headed board to cruise along the romantic Perfume River and visit Hue's best-known religious site (Thien Mu Pagoda). Have lunch in a local restaurant. Then in the afternoon we will explore the enchanting mausoleum of emperors Khai Dinh or Tu Duc – the famous emperors of the Nguyen dynasty. Overnight in Camellia Hotel.

This morning is free at your leisure for some coffee and blogging. In the afternoon, we will transfer to Hue Airport for the flight to Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam where tourists will find a blend of French and Vietnamese architecture alongside lakes and tree-lined boulevards. Pick you up from Noi Bai International airport and transfer to the hotel. Have some coffee and watch the busy life activities on the Old Quarter streets. Overnight in Hanoi Tirant hotel.

Today, we will have a chance to explore the fascinating Old Quarters and its hundreds of specialty shops, selling silk clothing, lacquer ware, embroidered linens, furniture, bamboo, cooking utensils, ceremonial objects and more. Take a stroll around Hoan Kiem Lake, enjoy people-watching at one of the numerous stylish cafes or shop for modern art in the city's myriad galleries. We have the chance to visit Hanoi’s main cultural attractions, including the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, his house on Stilts, the One Pillar Pagoda, the Fine Arts Museum and the Temple of Literature. In the evening, experience a performance at the Thang Long Water Puppet Theater before retiring for an overnight stay in Hanoi Tirant hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel and then start a 3 hour drive through the Red River Delta to Ha Long city. The bus will stop in between for a coffee break before arriving in Ha Long city. We then transfer to a modern sailing junk for a cruise through the limestone cliffs and emerald waters of Ha Long Bay, giving us the chance to take in the stunning scenery of this World Heritage Site. While on board we will be served a sumptuous fresh, local seafood lunch. Watch the blue sky and water and rock formations of this natural World Heritage. Then have a swim and explore some of the limestone caves in this area. When the sun comes down we drop anchor for the night nearby a remote island. Dinner and overnight on Grayline cruise.

In the morning, enjoy some guided Tai Chi exercise on the sundeck. We continue sightseeing and cruising around Halong Bay, before enjoying the delicious lunch with seafood on board the cruise boat.
