Welcome to Da Nang. Pick you up at the airport and transfer to the hotel for lunch and a rest. In the afternoon, we will go across Thuan Phuoc Bridge to visit Son Tra peninsula which has other name of Monkey Mountain. We can see the panorama view of surrounding areas. After we visit Linh Ung pagoda, we will spend time at the most beautiful beach in Da Nang named My Khe beach. Overnight in My Khe beach resort.
After breakfast, we start the journey by visiting My Son Holy Land – one of the 5 UNESCO World Heritages in Vietnam, some 60 kms from our resort. The destination is famous for its oriental architecture and ancient civilizations. My Son was the former kingdom of the ancient Cham people in Central Vietnam from the second to the thirteenth century. Their religion was primarily derived from Indian Hinduism. Considered one of the best-preserved Cham structures in Vietnam, the complex of My Son includes seventy Hindu-like towers and temples which were built round in the second century. We will way back to My Khe beach for lunch.
We are free in the afternoon; some options include having a swim, reading books on a sunbed, or relaxing by the resort pool.
After we check in hotel by the beach, we have lunch and a short break. In the afternoon we visit Japanese covered bridge, Tan Ky Old hose, Phuc Kien Pagoda, Cham Museum and Chinese Assembly Hall. Then get back for a great swim in Cua Dai beach. The beach is clean, shallow and often calm. Enjoy seafood and local delicacies by the beach or in a restaurant. In the evening we explore this ancient city on foot or on rickshaw. The next day we take a half day bike tour to villages across the Thu Bon River. Enjoy the fresh air and peacefulness of the countryside. In the early afternoon we take car to Hue, some 110 kms away. Overnight in Hue.
Start discovering the former capital city of Hue, a World Heritage site, well-known for its imperial city, relics, and emperor tombs. We start with the imperial city where the last 13 Vietnamese emperors lived and reined the country: Ngo Mon gate, the Forbidden Purple Palace, The Mieu Temple. Lunch in a fine local restaurant. In the afternoon, we pass by rice field and beautiful green hills to reach the tomb of Khai Dinh emperor. A magnificent place that buried the king is seen as a symbol of glory luxury lifestyle. Overnight in Hue.
We head to Phong Nha Cave approximately 150 kms away from Hue City. On the way, we have a break at Demilitarized Zone including Vinh Moc underground tunnel, Ben Hai River, Hien Luong Bridge. After that we have lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we sit on boat and cruise along the river to Phong Nha Cave. The deeper we go into, the more magical are the natural aspects of the caves. We take a walk along a large dry passage to discover the cave for 500m more. On our way are stunning stalactites, stalagmites, the remaining of Cham Altars and inscriptions inside. Return to Quang Binh city in the late afternoon. Overnight in beach front resort.
Check out and take a flight to Hanoi. Firstly, we will visit Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum. Explore some architectural and historical aspects of Uncle Ho’s final resting-place. Next to the Mausoleum is The Presidential Palace and Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts. Located on one side of the Mausoleum, the unique One Pillar Pagoda is very attracting with a famous architecture built in 1049. Then we will continue to visit the Temple of Literature which is the Vietnam’s first university established in 1070. The gardens and well-preserved architecture of the site offer a revealing glimpse into Vietnam in the past. Have lunch in local restaurant. In the afternoon, the trip will be continued with a visit to Hoan Kiem Lake where we can see Temple Ngoc Son and The Huc Bridge. A 2-hour cyclo to visit The Old Quarter in Hanoi will bring you the whole daily life in Hanoi. Have dinner and explore the night market named Dong Xuan. Overnight in Hanoi.
Take a four hour drive to Halong Bay before boarding on our cruise boat. We will cruise through remarkable limestone formations of Halong Bay. We have the opportunities to enjoy a swim, visits to stunningly beautiful grottos and do some kayaking. Overnight on the cruise boat will be a memorable experience for your family. In the morning, enjoy some guided Tai Chi exercise on the sundeck. We continue sightseeing and cruising around Halong Bay, then have our lunch before turning to the harbor and driving back to Hanoi.
