Vientiane, Tad Leuk-Ban Houay Leuk-

Pick you up at your hotel and transfer to Tad Leuk Waterfall in the Phou Khao Khouay National Protected Area. The Tad Leuk is a local tourist attraction amidst combined deciduous forest. We spend a short time to visit the Visitor Center in which we would be guided to the fauna and flora of the NPA.
After having lunch at Tad Leuk, we will trek about 4 hours to the first Camp Site, a sandstone beach on the edge of the dry riverbed. On the way, we will have opportunities for bird spotting and tracing monkeys and other animals. Dinner and overnight at the campsite.
After having breakfast, we keep trekking about 6 hours come to the top of a waterfall for a beautiful viewpoint over the surrounding area. Amidst clear bamboo and liana forest, a huge Burma Mahogany tree makes for a spectacular landmark for us. We will have a picnic lunch will be prepared on the river bank.
In the afternoon, we keep trekking to the second Camp Site in pine forest. From here, we can hear birds, monkeys and squirrels can be heard during twilight in the up to 40 m high pine trees.
Today, we will have a full day trek through an area of old forest which is known as a habitat for tigers and elephants. We will see the traces of elephants, often damaged trees and bushes or even footprints.
We will arrive at the Ang Nam Leuk Reservoir which is inhabited by the Siamese Crocodile. We will transfer to Ban Hoay Leuk Village for a lunch in local house before returning to Vientiane in the late afternoon.
